from Louise

let me get this straight...we are bailing out this company to the tune of $700 billion because the company is "too big to allow it to fail because if it failed, the whole global economy will crumble!" if this is true, if the global economy is that fragile, we are in deep shit. a bail out will not get us out of this deep shit. i would down size this and other companies to more sane sizes...i would break them up. i would make the selling of debt illegal. i would set an interest rate ceiling of 5% on all loans. i would bring back pre-reagan regulations on banks, etc. if i were going to bail out that company, that company would have to provide full and free medical coverage to every american for 25 years!

In Freedom,
Frank Moore

Dear Friend,

Congress is on the brink of making a one-sided deal to give George W. Bush
a blank check to bail out his pals - offering nearly (or perhaps more
than) a trillion taxpayer dollars to Wall Street to cover its bad debts.
That works out to somewhere between $2000 and $5000 from every American
family. So what do the taxpayers get in return?

Nothing. No new regulation or oversight to help avoid this kind of crisis
in the future. No public interest givebacks to help people whose homes are
in the hands of the banks. Perhaps most shockingly of all, the taxpayers
get absolutely no share in the profits if and when these finance giants
bounce back, even though we are now assuming a great deal of the risk.

This is worse than a bad deal - this isn't a deal at all. This is a blank
check to some of the richest companies in the world.

I just signed a petition calling on key members of Congress to impose a
few sensible conditions to this bailout in order to protect the American
people -- I hope you will too.

Please have a look and take action.

Thanks!

FRANK.....I would like free medical coverage for 25 years!

I work as a title examiner for Stewart Title in Rancho Cordova. Temped at Stewart for 8 months. Finally was hired August 1. My insurance starts November 1st. woo hoo! (Last year worked for Old Republic title, 4 years, laid off last August...so haven't had insurance for either my son or I since then.) Now they tell us today that they are moving the office to either Concord or Fairfield. That would be quite a commute!

I've been in title for about 12 years. I love it! Love the challenge of a piece of property with messed up or complex chain of title!

10 years ago an old crusty title dude told me to get out and go back to school...for title is not what it use to be. Oh he got that right!

My life is pretty damn good...........I've raised an outstanding son, finally found LOVE in the form of LOB (lol), satisfied (always a work in progress) with my spiritual, emotional, mental and physical growth, etc...........the career thing...well, I still have no clue.....a bit overwhelming, but heck I've given birth and raised a human being...lol.........piece of chocolate cake.

Wow...so now you know.
