More about last night's show

ERIKA:

"I washed some dishes and then told Carl all about the anniversary five day party and then he told me about a film he had seen that was made by older Native Americans and I told him about the Ozzy video. The show started, two hours of amazing talk about Frank's campaign. Wow!! Carl took it all so seriously and was so animated asking Frank specific questions about how things would work and Frank always had a clear answer as we could see the possibly of transformation right before us. The talk about changes to radio stations and tv stations making them available to every community was amazing, then on to taxes and giving everyone 1,000 a month, so human, so much for the people. It was a rockin debate and so amazing to get it all out there, Carl as Frank's body guard saying he would take a bullet to save Frank as it would make things better for his children."

LAST NIGHT'S SHOW

DA BOYZ:

"It was an amazing show for all of the reasons you were talking about afterward ... Carl had done his homework, and in his easy jovial way had totally penetrated Frank's platform, had lots of questions and lots of insight into what Frank was doing. That he said he would take a bullet for Frank to allow this vision for society to materialize for his children was mind blowing. It was really amazing the kind of passion that Frank's platform taps into in people ... with Carl it is always burning ... in others, it is like a kind of awakening. It was so neat to hear Carl and Frank playfully break down the issues that the platform addresses, and how the basic changes that the platform calls for had such far-reaching effects, that it felt like you would only be scratching the surface of the profound changes that would occur if any of these ideas were truly put into action."

FRIDAY'S SHOW

DA BOYZ:

"What a great show! We loved Del's (Goldfarb) songs and his repartee with Frank was so much fun ... you could tell he was really enjoying himself. Like Frank said later, you could just sit and listen to him tell stories and sing his songs for hours, but then the whole show shifted with the interview, and you could imagine the conversation going into so many different areas so easily, he was so there and had so much to talk about, with a lot of passion. Loved the reading of the platform with Frank's and Del's interjections ... it was amazing to hear the recognition of people who have had that kind of life experience, hearing Frank's platform, and resonating with it so easily. It was common sense for the common person. Simple and doable! "

Our plate is over-flowing here!

We are in the middle of another multi-Shaman's Den week...4 shows in 7 days. Last night Carl Bryant, a labor activist, grilled me for over 2 hours on my platform...kicked the tires, looked under the hood, etc. to make sure everything works. in the end, he said he would gladly take a bullet for me. Top that for an endorsement!

And if that wasn't enough, last week at the retirement community Erika produced 5 major parties in 5 days. It was a world cruise of pleasure, with stops in Greece, Egypt, the Ivory Coast, Japan, and Brazil...with food, drinks, sexy costumes, musicians/singers, extremely sexy sexy dancers of the country of the night! This is just a hint of what I have in mind for the U.S.!

Winning..one vote at a time!

da boyz were eating out the other night...

DA BOYZ:

"As the place started to clear out, a full figured black woman, named Kelly, came by our table a few times looking for a table ... she was obviously impressed with our spread! She ended up sitting a few tables away from us, and she and Corey kept making eye contact ... she had a very happy air to her. At some point, she just called over and asked if we ate beef? Yep! She came over with a big wine glass full of beef jerky that she said we just had to try! She made us take several pieces. It was incredible, and not on the menu ... she knew about it because she had been coming there for a long time. She was waiting for a guy to show up, who she was on the cellphone with now and again. Later we heard that he told he he was just coming down Golf Links Blvd. ... the restaurant was near closing! She asked us at one point, "Why do people lie?" She admitted she lied once in a while, but her guy had lied to her that night ... he said he was one place, but then he was somewhere else entirely, and now might miss their dinner date! She said she was ordering anyway, and might just pack it up and take it home with her! We ended up talking more with her as we all ate, and found out that she works as an office manager for the Port of Oakland doing a big project at the Oakland Airport, but grew up in Albany, at the University Village. We told her about ourselves and about Frank, and gave her a platform ... and she was talking about how she only started getting political more recently, she was 41 now and she wanted to be able to tell her nieces and nephews what was what ... she wanted to find out more about what people stood for and make a good choice .... hell, she might end up voting for Frank! She said that her dad had voted for Bush, and she was so disappointed ... he did not understand that Bush was not on his side, a black man! Not even close! We were just starting to tell her more about Frank when her dude showed up, his tail not enough between his legs! But Corey heard that she gave it to him!

Later, we heard her telling him about Frank, and showing him the platform, and they started reading it together while they ate. At some point, she called over and said that she really liked the free 24/7 mass transit! That was a great idea! She said she thought it would make transportation more reliable too, there wouldn't be people sitting out there waiting for hours for buses, etc. Sometimes, even though she knew this was maybe not the safest thing in the world, she would actually give people rides that she saw sitting out there waiting for a bus. It just made her feel bad to see them out there so long ... We heard them reading over the patents and copyrights part too, and talking about how that would affect things for the better ...

One of the waitresses, who packed up our leftovers was flying around the restaurant all night, and said we were giving off a super Berkeley vibe that she really liked. She was a transplant from NYC. She said she was happy because she just got an apartment today, that she really wanted, after living with room-mates off of Craig's list which did not work out so well.

Then we got dessert! Corey got the Rocky Road Sundae. which was incredible with deep chocolate, and a cappucino. Alexi had the Irish Float and the mint ice cream sandwich. YUM! We were glad for the walk home, to help us work off the meal. We kept feeling more and more full long after we finished eating. We said good night to Kelly, and she said myabe she'd see us at a Frank Moore campaign, or when she came to check out BNG."

Sex, Politics and Funk Me, Baby!

MOORE/BLOCK in '08

U.S. Presidential Candidate Frank Moore has asked me to be his running mate in his write-in campaign for 2008. Frank has been my friend and collaborator since 1996 when I first discovered his amazing, inspiring Web of All Possibilities. Since 2000, he’s produced The Dr. Susan Block Show on BTV as well as his own show, and together we fought a political battle for Freedom of Speech and won against the censors. I’ve admired Frank tremendously all these years for his brilliant mind, big heart, wild spirit, poetic sensibilities, unflagging drive and sexy twinkling eyes, so I was happy to accept.

Plus he emailed me this offer I couldn’t refuse: “hey, would you be my mate?...my running mate, that is! seems like they require us write-ins to have our vices early! i need someone who shares my philosophy, has wit and wisdom, a quick mind, can talk deep and go to the heart of issues...and is a sexy babe who is good with people. I NEED YOU!” Did I mention that Frank Moore is a natural politician? He really knows how to ask a gal to serve her country.

And the fact is that I’ve been feeling a little alienated from my country lately, what with the Bush Crime Family running it into the ground, and the major presidential candidates of both parties not offering substantial, inspirational change.

So, there’s the Republican Party, the Democratic Party and the Great American Slumber Party (GASP!) , the biggest party of 'em all, filled with millions of disaffected citizens virtually sleeping through the whole political process, feeling so helpless that we'd just rather close our eyes and dream... Frank’s offer was just the “ticket” to wake me up and get me excited about American politics again.

Besides, I’m all about vice.

And like most Americans, I’m sick of the Perma Wars. America is at war with everything. There’s the War on Terror, in the name of which we’re fighting the War on Iraq, the War on Afghanistan, maybe a War on Pakistan or perhaps a War on Iran. Then there’s the War on Drugs, another Perma War we're losing, though we're putting millions of nonviolent people behind bars when what they really need is treatment or perhaps just to be left alone. Then around the holidays, we hear about the War on Christmas, which seems to excuse making a War on Heathens (a.k.a. Humanists). And let us not forget the War on Sex, the War on You and Me and our rights to sexual choice, privacy and an honest sex education. This last war is perpetrated by the anti-sex “warriors,” always hypocrites par excellence, politicians and religious leaders who are secretly screwing hookers and call-boys, even as they screw the rest of us out of our sexual freedom in the name of their Hate Wars.

Why can’t we stop all of these wars? Why can’t we make peace? One reason is that the Business of War is very profitable, and the people running our government are, for the most part, in the War Business. They are war profiteers.

Frank Moore is not in the War Business. He, like me, is in the Love Business. The only way we can stop the Perma Wars is for some of us in the Love Business to take the reins of power - nicely, with a bonobo kiss - from those in the War Business that are devastating this great nation.

The current goons in the White House have left us with a huge mess overflowing with debt, war, cronyism and corruption. There is no doubt that whoever “wins” the U.S. Presidency in ’08 will have mammoth challenges ahead. Frank Moore is a man accustomed to surmounting mammoth challenges; he has been doing this since he was born with severe cerebral palsy, when doctors said he had “no IQ” and urged his family to institutionalize him. But his parents refused to give up, and the baby the “experts” had assumed was a “vegetable” evolved into the artist-genius-activist-shaman that we now know as Frank Moore, the Stephen Hawking of Performance Art, the ultimate wounded healer.

And if there’s anything this war-torn, debt-ridden, demoralized country needs right now, it’s healing. And if FDR could run the country from a wheelchair, Frank can do it with his pointer.

So I am delighted to have this opportunity to inject the American political discussion with a fresh shot of peace, pleasure and common sense. On that level, we can't lose! We will win by inspiring new generations. We will win by inseminating the political discussion with our outrageous but very sensible ideas.

And I know just how I'm going to refurbish Number One Observatory Circle. It will be Dr. Suzy’s Speakeasy on the Potomac with lots of burgundy velvet curtains, a luxurious Vulva Lounge and a Monkey Rocker in the waiting room for visiting dignitaries to relax on while waiting to see me.

But enough dreaming... Let's get down to brass tacks. Here are some of Frank’s planks:

War
“I will bring the troops home from Iraq immediately. Moreover, I will change this country’s self-image from that of THE SUPER POWER/WORLD LEADER to that of a member of the global community….I’ll cut the military budget by at least half….I will destroy 10 percent of our nuclear weapons each year to reverse the nuclear arms race. We will stop giving/selling arms to other countries. All private arms sales should be illegal.”

Welfare and Taxes
“I’ll do away with welfare and social security. Instead, every American will receive a minimum income of $1,000 a month. This amount will be tied to the cost of living and will not be taxable….I’ll do away with all tax deductions for over $12,000 income. Instead, there will be a flat tax of 10% on annual income of less than one million dollars for an individual and less than five million dollars for a corporation. But the flat tax will jump to 75% on annual income exceeding these limits.”

Health Care
“We will have universal prenatal-to-the-grave health care and universal free education with equal access.”

Marriage and Family
“Government should leave marriage to churches. Instead, any two or more adults who have been living together for at least 2 years should be able to register as a “family.”

Want to know more? Check out Frank’s Platform. Listen to my Interview with Frank Moore on RadioSuzy1 when he announced his candidacy on the fourth anniversary of the Beginning of the Iraq War, and watch Frank and his Cherotic All-Star Band (as well as hot porn stars like Stefani Morgan) on LUVeR Nite on RadioSuzy1TV. And check out the digital painting that Frank did of me having a female ejaculation orgasm during my famous SQUIRT SALON: Click here to see it large, as well as the original photo (be forewarned, faint-of-heart; it's explicit):

How can a guy who can't control the movements of his arms and legs manage to create art like this? The answer is complex, deep and awe-inspiring, but the bottom line is: if he can do this, maybe he can do what needs to be done for America.

Peace through pleasure

A heartbreaking platform

From: Voter
To: Frank Moore
Subject: A heartbreaking platform

Dear Mr Moore

Unfortunately since the administration of Ronald Wilson Reagan the country has been held hostage to extremist reactionary dogma and held in the vice like grip of corporate and religious extremist . I think some of your ideas make sense . Education and Health care should not be luxuries .I think that independents like the Greens should be allowed into the debates.

While nuclear power has proven too unstable for the domestic power grid it still has specialized applications for spacecraft. I think that there should be money spent on the space program because of the potential for a cornucopia of knowledge to be uncovered below I have some recommended web sites. So there here is not just the possibility of other worlds existing but the means to get there !

From: Frank Moore

Well, I agree...except for using nuclear power for rockets given NASA's accident denial mentality. It would take one accident going through the atmosphere to spread atomic debris over a wide area. That is an unacceptable risk. We can find more suitable answers once we get over our fixation on nuclear ($).

Fantastic! A Pro Business Flat Taxer

It's wonderful that we lefties can finally vote for a pro-business candidate who is actually for the flat tax, just like all the Republicans! That makes his economic program to the right of all the dems

Frank's reply:

I’ll do away with welfare and social security. Instead, every American will receive a minimum income of $1,000 a month. This amount will be tied to the cost of living and will not be taxable.

We will have universal prenatal-to-the-grave health care and universal free education with equal access.

But the flat tax will jump to 75% on annual income exceeding these limits.

this 3-step tax plan is not a pro-big bisiness tax. i'm sure big business and the multi-millionaires would agree with this statement and will try to block it. it's pro-poor, pro-middle class, pro-small business, pro-small family farms, etc.

From: Karole Skeen

Subject: Re: one sarcastic comment on indymedia posting

Frank,

Consider a sale tax instead of an income tax, with a supplemental income for those who are below the $12K income a year. This way, even those who are engaged in illegal activities and the mega rich foreigners (who, in fact, live here but are never held accountable) will pay their fair share. To prevent people to do all their shopping (huge hatches, planes, and the like) abroad, establish a control for it. For example, planes that are not common carriers and have not been purchased in this country would have to pay a U.S. Landing Fee. It soon would become cheaper for those globe-trotting CEOs to buy their planes here, pay the tax once than paying and re-paying a fee every time they used their planes to go exploit a third world workforce somewhere.

Frank's reply:

A good idea...although with my tax policies, my policies on corporations and on patents/copyrights, etc., the rich will have a lot less to global-trot with!

Last Night's speech

DA BOYZ:
"The whole experience at the Claremont, both before, during and after Frank's speech, was really fun and amazing. The residents bantering before Frank went on, and folks coming up to talk to Frank were unforgettable, and we just had huge smiles on our faces the whole time, if not outright laughing at the kinds of things that were being said, especially between Margaret and Anne. What a ham!

It was an altered reality ... it is really hard to describe how Frank giving a speech there at the Claremont to a mix of residents, Koala, Sean, etc., Lasagna and a group of young guys in the front row while young black women attendants peeked in, obviously loving it ... how it all seemed to twist reality into a new shape on some real level ... and it was brought out more explicitly later in Frank's conversation with Sydney and the giddy enjoyment of Margaret ... and Lasagna's huge smile as he left, and the volunteer Lauren's reaction .... Frank was a master the way he brought everything into a context, and related everything ... There were a number of residents that didn't quite get it, but you could really feel why Frank said this was his best "performance" ... On the way home, we were saying that it would be neat to see Frank deliver the same speech to a very different audience ... Corey said he bet it would be the same if it were a group of young people. There was nothing special about these being "old" people. There would be a certain percentage who just didn't get Frank ... the screen ... but another that could feel what Frank was doing on a very deep level. It felt like Frank's conversation with Sydney about "wasted votes" changed reality just for its having happened. She was really neat. "

Frank:

OK...the residents are in their 70s-90s. Erika said Margaret is usually a "mover" who never stays in one place for more than 5 minutes without walking away. So her staying for 90 minutes, engaged and turned on, was a big deal. Sydney has been carrying my platform around with her for weeks. The black women gave me the "power to the people" fist at one point in the speech. Our son koala's friends seemed inspired.

But Lasagna was the real story. He is a rich, powerful guy who owns half of our neighborhood, with whom we have fought heated battles over property, etc. for years...I have chewed a few new assholes on him. Ultimately we won...but in a way that he got something better than he was going for. So now he's jamming in my band and is coming to my speeches and gets transformed! I'll do the same thing with Iran, etc.!

Here are the kinds of reactions from everyday people to the campaign

DA BOYZ:

At BNG, it was the usual Wednesday routine ... Corey was telling folks about how Frank was going to be interviewed by the Independent and about his new running mate, Dr. Suzy Block! In general, it just made people happy, and amazed people. It was a kind of rush of feeling that anything is possible. And now people like Rosalina were asking before Corey even had a chance to say anything ... what was new with the campaign??

Corey continued to hand people fliers for the speech. A woman who works at KALX as a music critic, and who is often in the store, a friend of Lob's, was there shopping, and Corey gave her the flier. She loved the graphic, and was going to check out the website to read Frank's platform. Another guy, Tod, who often chats with Corey when he is in to shop, a 9-11 Truth guy, got one too. The image just made him laugh ... he had heard Corey talk about Frank, but never seen him ... Corey encouraged him to check out the platform, because he and Frank share a lot of the same ideas. He would. He told Corey about a Guns & Butter show that he really liked, and said that we would probably want to play the music from it on LUVeR. It was a guy who does songs in the voices of Bush, Cheney, etc., strikingly exact ... with a version of This Land is Your Land, and a version of Imagine that are funny and very topical as to what is going on now, like social/political commentary.

Back here for lunch, we checked in, and Corey got the lock manufacturer number for Alexi. Corey set up another calzone dough in the bread machine, had lunch, and emailed a bunch of TV stations about the speech. Lasagna was working that day, so on his way back to work he handed everyone a flier for the speech! Lasagna was impressed ... he said, "He just might do it, Linda!" And was talking about how the motorcade would come down Curtis St., all the limos, etc! Corey said, but we'd have to paint them like the LUVeRmobile and CRV!

The afternoon was stocking the order ... Sydney, the ex-buyer from ECNG was in the store to see Phan, and Corey gave her a flier too. She loved the image!

Back here, Corey caught a few snippets of the tail end of the interview while putting the chickens away, and then got the whole rundown from you guys. Just mindblowing! Back here, Alexi was home. He said he had a very successful day, and he wasn't even talking about the job, which was successful too ... but things he couldn't tell Corey about! Corey told him about the interview!! Totally amazing and inspiring. Frank was a master.

We decided to make the calzone tomato sauce that night because we really wouldn't have a chance until Saturday itself, and we definitely wanted it made ahead of time because it got better with age. Alexi set up chickens to cook while Corey went to the store. At BNG, Dana came into shop, and Corey reminded her of the speech. She wanted to come, but didn't know if she would be able to ... her mission was to paint her daughter Angelina's room while she was away with relatives, and would have to see how it was going, but wanted Corey to call her and remind her on Thursday. Corey was telling people about the Independent interview, and they were amazed. Keo said that was it, he was voting for Frank. Could Frank then bring Ch. 28 to Richmond (he wanted to see Dr. Suzy!). Suzanne said Frank was very wise when she heard what he had said about "winning". Dana just loved the way Frank talked with the reporter.

Hi Frank & Ravi,

Your email came in just as I was brushing up on your planks, Frank. I must say this is a genius platform of peace and prosperity that is really quite practical. This makes me even more excited about being your running mate. It also makes me realize: America is at war with everything. Most American politicians are in the war business. We are not in the war business. We're in the people business. The only way we can stop the wars is to take the reins of power (nicely, with a kiss) from the war profiteers.

And with a platform like yours, we can't lose! We will win by inserting new ideas for new generations. And I know just how I'm going to refurbish Number One Observatory Circle.

I'd be happy to talk to Ravi. The Independent is the home of one of my favorite writers about the war, Robert Fisk.

Subject: a proposition

Hey, would you be my mate?...My running mate, that is! Seems like they require us write-ins to have our vices early! I need someone who shares my philosophy, has wit and wisdom, a quick mind, can talk deep and go to the heart of issues...and is a sexy babe who is good with people. I NEED YOU!

Frank on social justice

Dearest Frank,
I watched you on http://expertvoter.org/. It was so cool to see you and Linda. I am looking forward to meet her someday.

I got all emotional seeing you in those videos, being happy and excited about the possibilities you were advancing for our country. I agree with much of what you have to say. I don't agree with automatically granting $1K a month to everyone. The most famous poet in Québec, Félix Leclerc, wrote, "If you want to kill a man, give him money." Of course, there will always be exception to this -- like taking care of people who truly need assistance, whether permanently or for short periods of time until they are capable of taking care of themselves and/or their families (thinking of single parents and those who assist people with special needs).

What I am advocating instead is a much healthier minimum wage, so that it is always worth the effort for people to devote their time to another's company or to work for society. When you think of it, who do you want to be without for an entire month: the CEOs of the country or the garbage collectors? Yet the CEOs get millions for their jobs and the garbage collectors barely make a living. I definitely favor a Maximum Income -- which your 75% tax after $1M is a great tool to limit the greater abuses in the existing distribution of wealth (that's an oxymoron for sure). (A society that doesn't suffer from wants on all levels will support the arts and the artists that I'm sure you are considering with your policy.)

I was very touched when you said, "You have always imagined this kind of world. We just need leaders who share our dreams." That is a true insight into humanity. I, I'm sure one among the multitudes, always imagine a world with justice; oftentimes, I'm resigned that I will never know it. You, on the other hand, obviously refuse to be resigned about this. You will go out fighting for justice and equality. I must say that I admire and love you greatly for it. You inspire me to continue with the tool I am using toward the same end result.

Namaste,
Karóle

This warms me, Karole...warms us here! My stock in trade has always been hope. Hope fuels change. Most politicians trade in fear. I enjoy life. That opens up possibilities.

I'll address your concerns about the guaranteed minimum income in my next speech. But i think the belief that having that kind of safety net somehow cripples people is one of those myths which creates smoke that is meant to confuse. We don't hear it about inheritance, tax breaks, corporate bailouts, etc....only money for poor people. I would suggest it isn't the money, but the demeaning process, the treating of the people as second class citizens, etc. That cripples. I've been on S.S.I. Off and on since I was 17. The little money (I don't know how people who don't live tribally survive on it!) Is not the problem. For example, I can't work because I would lose not only the S.S.I. money, but my attendant and medi-cal. Today I caught my eye doctor limiting when I can make a time to see him because I'm on medi-cal...and lying about it! I can handle these kinds of things. But most people are not in a position to do so, so they eat it. But if everybody get the guaranteed minimum income, we would get rid of the demeaning process.

Such safety nets tend to keep all wages high...which is why they have ripped the safety net apart...which is why that myth!
